Ms. Goodwin joined Sloane and Walsh in April, 2016 with years of litigation experience representing physicians, hospitals, dentists and other medical professionals. She has extensive courtroom experience in the Superior Courts of Massachusetts, as well as in federal court. She also represents clients in matters before professional boards.

Ms. Goodwin began her legal career in 1997 as an Assistant State Attorney for the Palm Beach County State Attorney in Florida. She represented the state of Florida in criminal actions in both the appellate and trial divisions, held the position of Chief of her trial court division, and was sole counsel in over thirty-five jury trials.

A native to New England, Ms. Goodwin returned to Boston in 2000 and became an Assistant District Attorney in Suffolk County. Experienced in the fast-paced environment of the Commonwealth's busiest courtrooms, Ms. Goodwin continued to prosecute a high volume of criminal matters as well as try cases before juries. While handling her general criminal case load, she was also appointed to be the point prosecutor for all incoming domestic violence cases in the Chelsea District Court.

After leaving the public sector in 2003, Ms. Goodwin practiced civil litigation defense, including medical malpractice, in prominent Boston area law firms. She has represented insurance companies and individuals, handling hundreds of injury claims, including automobile and construction accidents, homeowner's actions and slip-and-fall claims.
